Supporting your needs through all project stages.

The G6000 pulsed LiDAR delivers accurate and reliable wind measurements for a wide range of applications. Combined with exceptional data availability, it provides dependable insights for projects where precise wind information is essential. Available as both a ground-based and wind turbine nacelle-mounted solution, the G6000 enables remote measurement of wind characteristics while offering versatile all-sky 3D visualisation of wind flow.

Sale and rent options

The G6000 is available for sale and for rental. For both options various service and support options by skilled personnel can be added.

Easy to install

The G6000 is a lightweight scanning LiDAR, which can be lifted by 2 people. Within 30 minutes the G6000 is setup and is ready to perform measurements.

Post-processing software

A pre-installed post-processing software package can be used to create the output needed. All raw data is stored in market standard file formats.

The Galion G6000 is engineered to operate reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -30°C to +40°C, making it suitable for demanding environments across the globe.

Proven in a wide variety of projects, the G6000 has demonstrated exceptional reliability by operating autonomously in remote locations for months at a time, without requiring on-site servicing or routine human intervention.

The system can be fully operated and monitored remotely via an internet connection. An integrated camera system enables operators not only to control the G6000 from virtually anywhere, but also to monitor local weather and site conditions in real time, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

A robust and reliable instrument that withstands all weather conditions.

The G6000 provides detailed information of large-scale and local wind flow conditions, making it an excellent choice for use in performance optimization & benchmarking, wind farm control, and optimization. Moreover, assessment of the wind farm blockage effect is enabled through supporting measurement of wind turbine induction zones and wakes. Use cases include:

Pre-construction

  • Feasibility studies
  • Wind resource assessment
  • Site suitability and classification
  • Site layout and optimization
  • Wind flow model validation
  • Complex flow and terrain evaluation

Post-construction

  • Power performance testing (PPT)
  • Wake and Induction zone measurement and model validation
  • Performance optimisation and benchmarking
  • Operational energy yield assessment
